Create a map

Send content to @reelsinary

DM @reelsinary anything with places in it: reels, posts, screenshots, blog links or Google Maps places. Each place becomes a pin.

  • We read what's shown and said in the video, and the caption.
  • Google Maps: one place per message. Saved lists can't be read.

Trips

@reelsinary asks which trip a new post is for. Tap Use this trip, or Start it on + New trip. Each trip is its own map, sold separately.

Wrong one? Tap Wrong trip? on the card that comes back. Your maps are in My trips on reelsinary.com.

Edit your places

Edit on a computer

Editing is easiest on a computer. Set it up once:

  1. On your phone, add your email. Tap Save on your map, or 🔑 Log in anywhere in your chat with @reelsinary. Then tap Add my email (free, 10s) and enter the 6-digit code we email you.
  2. On your computer, go to reelsinary.com/login, enter that email and open the link we send.

Creator mode

Creator mode is the switch at the top of the pin list (☰ menu on a phone).

  • On: you edit each place: photos, category, price, Description, Tip, Note and Affiliate link.
  • Off: traveller mode. You see your map the way buyers see it once they get it.

Each place has three text fields. Buyers get the first two.

FieldBuyers get it
Description
What the place is, why go, getting there, cost, hours.
Yes
Tip
One line that sells the place. Also on your pack page for Free to browse places.
Yes
Note
Your own notes. They stay on your map.
No

Creator mode labels each field Buyers get this or Private. Limits: Description 1000 characters, Tip 280, Note 500. Select text for bold or a link.

The Description and Tip may be pre-filled from your content. Check them.

Price is the chip next to the category on the place's photo. Write it your way: "splurge", "~€40pp", "free". Buyers get it.

You can't sell itineraries yet. We're working on it.

Photos and category

Buyers see only the cover photo. Tap a photo to make it the cover.

The category sets the pin's colour and icon. On landmarks, museums, markets, neighbourhoods, nature and beaches, buyers see our 🎟 Tours & tickets button unless you add your own link.

Deleting places

To delete a place, tap the bin icon, then Delete. On places without a photo, × deletes immediately.

Trip essentials

Links not tied to one place (eSIM, insurance, a card) go in 🧳 Trip essentials, above your places. Up to 12. Buyers see them at the top of their copy. Your pack page lists the first 4 by name.

For gear (luggage, adapters), a shopping network like ShopMy or LTK works.

03

Sell it

Open Sell this map

☰ › Monetize on a phone, Monetize in the toolbar on a computer. Nothing is public until you publish.

Set it up

  • Title: your map's name. Rename the map to change it.
  • Your pitch: why these places are worth it. Shown under your name on the pack page, in link previews and on the Stripe page. One pitch for all your packs. 140 characters.
  • Price: Free; €0+ (buyers choose, €0 included, suggested €5 by default); or Paid (€1 to €500, by card). You get each payment minus Stripe's fee.
  • Instagram code: the word followers send to get your pack. See Instagram code.
  • Free to browse: 1 to 5 places anyone can see in full. The rest show as "🔒 17 more places".

Instagram code

Followers send your Instagram code to get your pack, by DM or in a comment. Put it in your caption: "Comment AMSCOFFEE and I'll send you the guide."

  • 3 to 20 letters or numbers, unique to you. Common words (HELLO, THANKS) aren't allowed.
  • Left empty, one is made from your title.
  • Pick a word nobody writes by accident.
  • Changing it stops the old one immediately.

Publish

Tap Publish. Your pack goes live and you get two things:

  • A link to your pack page, reelsinary.com/g/…. 🔗 Copy link copies it.
  • An Instagram code followers send to get the pack, for example AMSCOFFEE.

Your pack page

Your pack page shows the cover, title, your name and pitch, categories, your Free to browse places, then the price and button. One page per map; the link never changes. To see it as a buyer, open it in a private window. Don't buy your own pack to test it.

Three ways to sell it

People get your pack in three ways. All three lead to your pack.

2 · Followers DM your Instagram code

A follower DMs your Instagram code to @reelsinary. The message must be just the code; case and emoji don't matter.

  • Free: they get their copy in the chat.
  • €0+ and Paid: they get your pack page link.
  • Paused: "I couldn't find that pack".

3 · Followers comment your Instagram code

A follower comments your Instagram code under your post. Your account replies "Sent you a DM 📩", and Reelsinary sends them a DM from your account with your pack page link. To the follower, it's you replying.

  • The comment must be just the code: "amscoffee 🔥" works, "amscoffee looks great" doesn't.
  • One reply per person per pack every 7 days. Instagram allows replies up to 7 days after the comment.
  • Up to 200 replies an hour. Paused packs get none.
  • Works only with comment auto-reply on. See Connect Instagram.

Connect Instagram

  1. Use a professional Instagram account (Creator or Business). Switch under Settings and activity › Account type and tools.
  2. Creator HQ › Auto-reply to comments › Connect Instagram. Log in and allow the permissions.
  3. In Instagram: Settings and activity › Messages and story replies › Message controls › Connected tools › Allow access to messages.
  4. Creator HQ shows your @handle and Live.

It uses Instagram's official API. We never see your password, and it only replies to people who commented your code. If Instagram disconnects you, you get an email: tap Reconnect Instagram. Turn it off or disconnect any time in Creator HQ.

Update or Pause

  • Update: saves changes made in Sell this map. Edits to places show without it.
  • Pause: takes the page offline and stops your Instagram code. Buyers keep their copies. Update puts it back.

Buyers

How buyers get a pack

  • Free: DM your Instagram code, or tap Or get it on the web.
  • €0+: Get the map, then choose an amount. €0 works like Free.
  • Paid: pay by card on Stripe, then open the copy with the claim code shown on screen and emailed.

On the web we email a sign-in link, and the copy goes to that email's account. By DM it goes to that Instagram account. Never to whoever happens to be signed in on the device.

A Paid pack, step by step:

1 · Pay by card

On your pack page they tap Get the map and pay by card. The payment page shows your title and handle, your pitch and how many places the map has.

2 · Get the claim code

After paying they see Payment received and their claim code. It's emailed to them too. Get via Instagram copies the code to send to @reelsinary. Or get it on the web opens the copy on the site.

3 · Send the code to @reelsinary

They send the code to @reelsinary. The reply has Open the map 🗺, which opens their copy. A code works for one account. Sent again from that account, it brings back the same copy.

What a buyer gets

Their own copy of your map, in their My trips. Every place keeps:

  • name, Description, cover photo and category
  • your Tip
  • your affiliate link

Your Trip essentials sit at the top. Your Notes and your itinerary aren't included.

The copy doesn't change when you edit your map. Your changes reach new buyers only.

Questions

My carousel only added one place

The paper-plane ✈️ share sends only the first slide. Tap ✈️, then Copy link, and paste the link to @reelsinary. All slides are read.

My invite code says it's for another account

Invite codes only work from the Instagram account you applied with. Send the code from that account.

How much can I send in a day?

Up to 50 reels a day per account. The limit resets daily.

How do I keep places on the right map?

If it's unclear which trip new content belongs to, @reelsinary asks. Tap a trip, or "New trip" to start one. To move content later, tap "Wrong trip?".

Does the caption matter?

Yes. We read what's shown and said in the video, and the caption. A reel that names no real places adds no pins.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Maps are created in your Instagram DMs with @reelsinary. Use reelsinary.com to edit places, add links and set a price.

Can buyers change my map?

No. Each buyer gets their own copy. Your map stays as you made it, and your later changes go to new buyers.

How does a buyer get the pack?

Free packs: they DM your Instagram code to @reelsinary and get their copy in the chat, or get it on your pack page. €0+ packs: they choose an amount on your pack page, €0 included. Paid packs: they pay on your pack page, then open their copy with the claim code they get on screen and by email.

What is Free to browse?

Up to 5 places anyone can see in full on your pack page: photo, name, category and tip. Your other places show as one "🔒 N more places" line.

Are places colour-coded?

Yes, by category (Food, Cafe, Beach and others). You set each place's category in Creator mode.

Do places link to Google Maps?

Yes. In a buyer's copy, every place has a link that opens it in Google Maps.

When do I get paid?

Set up payouts once in Creator HQ (a Stripe form), then cash out whenever your balance is €10 or more. Stripe then pays it into your bank.

What does Reelsinary take?

No commission. Stripe's card fee (about 1.5% + €0.25) comes off each sale. A €9 sale leaves you €8.61.
